Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS6) was launched at a release event on April 23, 2012 and released on May 7, 2012. CS6 was the last of the Adobe design tools to be physically shipped as boxed software as the model for future releases and updates would be delivered via download only.

On May 6, 2013 Adobe announced that CS6 would be the last version of the Creative Suite, and that future versions of their creative software would only be available via their Adobe Creative Cloud subscription model. 

The CS6 software is EOL (end of life) and end of support, meaning there are no updates, no bug fixes, and no guarantees it will run on future operating systems.

Creative Suite 6 —or CS6 as it’s generally known— consists of 14 separate applications grouped into 4 major software bundles: Design Standard, Design and Web Premium, Production Premium, and Master Collection.

1. Photoshop CS6 Extended

While the world doesn't begin and end with Photoshop, sometimes it seems as if it does, especially when upgrade time rolls around. Photoshop is Adobe's flagship program and its oldest and most popular package.

This release sports a darker interface (its first new paint job in more than 20 years), a noticeably faster graphics engine, and some amazing new features that promise to improve the productivity of professional designers and photographers alike.

Here are a few examples: The auto save and recovery features keep you from losing all your work if you suffer a crash; the new Content-Aware Move tool lets you scoot objects around the canvas; the new blur filters create shallow-depth-of-field and tilt-shift effects in no time flat; the new Adaptive Wide Angle filter fixes in-camera lens distortion; and a new Oil Paint filter lets you create a painting with nary a brushstroke.

2. Illustrator CS6

Adobe Illustrator CS6 is a powerful vector drawing tool that includes everything you'll need for design, web and video projects.

One major headline this time is the new focus on performance. True 64-bit support and Adobe's Mercury Performance System play a big part in improving responsiveness, but Adobe have also been identifying and resolving bottlenecks all around the package.

The previous Gaussian blur implementation wasn't the best, for instance, but it's been optimised for CS6, and as a result Gaussian blurs (and effects which depend on them, such as drop shadows and glows) are now much, much faster.

3. Dreamweaver CS6

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, targeted to Web designers and developers, builds HTML 5 and CSS3 sites, and lets you preview your design for smart phones, tablets, and computer screens simultaneously with the program's enhanced Multiscreen Preview panel and accurate Live View.

This version lets you build native mobile applications for both Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platform with jQuery Mobile and improved PhoneGap integration. It also features multiple viewing options, accurate HTML 5 rendering, improved FTP performance, and streamlined image editing tools.

4. Premiere Pro CS6 

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6's aesthetic and workflow improvements over the previous version are immediately obvious at first glance. Whereas Premiere Pro CS5’s most notable features
—64-bit processing and the Mercury Playback Engine— were under the hood, the CS6 interface has undergone a comprehensive redesign that not only transforms the overall look and feel of the program, but facilitates a more efficient editing workflow.

This release was also designed to integrate two newcomers to the Creative Suite: Adobe Prelude for ingesting and logging file-based media, and Adobe SpeedGrade, a color correction and grading tool. Premiere Pro's companion DVD authoring program, Encore, is now a 64-bit application.

5. After Effects CS6

The release of After Effects CS6 is proof that Adobe actually listens to customer requests and stays current with the needs of today’s filmmakers, editors, and motion graphics artists. Beyond this release's impressive list of new features, there are much-needed and long-awaited performance improvements.

Adobe has implemented several structural developments like the new ray-traced 3D rendering engine and Global Performance Cache that it rebuilt from the ground up, providing not only faster performance, but increased professional capabilities. New tools such as the 3D Camera Tracker, Rolling Shutter Repair, and variable mask edge feathering are serious professional compositing tools. The enhanced integration between After Effects CS6 and other Adobe tools makes the workflow faster and more fluid than before.

6. Flash Professional CS6

Flash Professional CS6 has evolved into a powerful authoring environment for creating animation and multimedia content for immersive interactivity across desktops, devices, tablets, smartphones, and televisions.

Because of its wide platform and device support, Flash has long been marketed as a develop-once-deploy-everywhere platform. Today, the largest markets for such technology are mobile games and devices, so it's no surprise that Adobe has focused on these categories in the Flash CS6 update.

The one major drawback to this strategy is that the available feature set usually tends to be the lowest common denominator of all platforms. Adobe hopes to compensate for this through prebuilt, native extensions that access platform- or device-specific capabilities. It seems promising that this strategy could open the game developer market for Adobe via Flash CS6.

7. InCopy CS6

Adobe InCopy is a professional word processor that integrates with Adobe InDesign. While InDesign is used to publish printed material, including newspapers and magazines, InCopy is used for general word processing.

The software enables editors to write, edit, and design documents. The software includes standard word processing features such as spell check, track changes, and word count, and has various viewing modes that allow editors to visually inspect design elements — just as it looks to the designer working in Adobe InDesign.

8. Acrobat XI Pro

Adobe Acrobat is a family of application software and Web services developed by Adobe Inc. to view, create, manipulate, print and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF). The family comprises Acrobat Reader, Acrobat and Acrobat.com. The basic Acrobat Reader, available for several desktop and mobile platforms, is freeware; it supports viewing, printing and annotating of PDF files. Additional, "Premium", services are available for reader on paid subscription. The commercial proprietary Acrobat, available for Microsoft Windows and macOS only, can also create, edit, convert, digitally sign, encrypt, export and publish PDF files. Acrobat.com complements the family with a variety of enterprise content management and file hosting services.

This is an old machine with Windows Vista. The only use they have for it is Web browsing and school projects.

The software they use is MS Office 2010. Mostly Word.

The found the PC a little slow.

My recommendation to my friend is that restore the PC to its original condition.

Reasons:

An upgrade to Windows 7 is not worthy since it expires next year.

Windows 10, I thing is too much for this old PC

They do not want to invest in a new PC

I belief that restoring it is going to improve their response (hope to be a little faster than now)

My question

I am in the correct direction with this project? Please let me know.

Having done a system update using LENOVO VANTAGE, a legitimate aplication for my Lenovo Ideapad, it recommends critical update for my laptop's bios. The laptop is about 2 years old. It should use the BIOS downloaded from the official site and the proper Lenovo application, so not supposed to use a BIOS and flash application downloaded from a "third site"

Do I need to "repair" something that works well?

Is there any risk that this procedure shoud fail and "brick" my laptop?

I have a computer I bought 12 years ago and works just fine with it's original BIOS so, is a BIOS update really "critical"

Hello, I am not sure if this is the correct subforum to make a request like this, the layout is confusing to a newcomer but longtime lurker, but being shuffled into the correct area by a mod would be appreciated, if required

I would like to request an original image (or updated, in the case of the re-release due to the file deletion bug) of "Windows 10 LTSC 2019", ideally in x64 architecture and for the En-GB Locale.

Almost every other source(questionable origins) I can see downloads for have mostly just US locale releases, and then having no experience with the software to convert builds makes it tricky

Feedback or directions to such an image, ideally in .ISO or similar format with a guide to convert would be VERY much appreciated! 

I am still stuck on Win8.1 here, but dream to reach Win10, in a non-bloatware manner.

Users Instructions:

• Extract the License File Migration folder in the archive to your desktop;
• Open the License File Migration folder.

B.1 Apply the new serialized licensing (For new installations only)

• Right-click on the AdobeSerialization.exe and Run as administrator;
• A User Account Control dialog box will pop-up next, click the OK button to continue;
• Wait for a few seconds for AdobeSerialization.exe to initialize and then reboot your computer.

B.2 Remove existing serialization (For those who have had installed products before)

Before asking for advice I've tried to solve this myself and I've googled like a madman...so now I come once again, tail between legs to the smart guys on Nsane!!

O.K:-

1) I have a 32" LCD TV (a few years old) and a BluRay player (fairly recent model) connected to it.

2) I downloaded a BD25 movie and put it on my pendrive.

3) I connected my pendrive to the BluRay player and opened it on the TV.

4) The 2 main BluRay folders appear (BDMV and CERTIFICATE) containing various folders and files.

5) I click "play" or "Disc Menu" on my BluRay player remote...nothing

6) I go into the main folders/files and click "play" on my remote...nothing.

7) I go into the folder "STREAM" and see lots of M2TS video files.

I click on them...THEY PLAY....but as each of these M2TS files reaches an end I have to restart the next one manually, I mean the movie doesn't play

   continuously, it just plays one part at a time.

9) The quality is great though!!!😀😀😀

Does anyone have any idea how to make the movie play continuously? I'd really appreciate any suggestions. (polite ones only please!!)

Hello, I have a problem with the icons of Word docx documents. I do not appear in the W10 explorer. I have tried everything, I have tried to change it from windows through the file association, etc. I have changed the regedit 😄 \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Office \ Root \ VFS \ Windows \ Installer \ {90160000-000F-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE} \ wordicon.exe, 13 to 😄 \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Office \ root \ Office16 \ wordicon.exe, 13 and remains the same, the rest of the office files are fine, in fact if I change to word mobile if the icon changes. I have Windows 10 1903 (version 1809 passed the same), office 2019 Pro Plus installation of Ratiborus monthly channel.

Some help for favors, without having to uninstall everything.
